Crayons melted to a liquid and painted. Also known as Encaustic. This technique requires a lot of patience and repetitive motion. The students really discovered the joys of trial and error and in the long run found the most efficient way of painting with wax. They came up with really great ideas and hurdled some frustrating hurdles.
- Plastic Lids from juice or milk containers.
- Beads Beads Beads
- Cardboard Rolls (anything cylindrical and cuttable)
- Recycled One Sided Paper
- Film Canisters
(Children love to collect and love to contribute to school even more. Invite your child to collect the things your family tosses the most. Honestly if you have a lot of it we'll love to have it. We could play for hours with just bread bag tabs and tooth picks!)
