My name is Jaala Smith and I am the full time Studio Teacher at The Community School of West Seattle. This will be my second year at CSWS as the Studio Teacher and my 5th year in early childhood education. I’m an Evergreen State College graduate, a native to the Pacific Northwest and an active community member. I am also an artist, a poet, a musician, an explorer, a twin, a coffee drinker and a big fan of good old fashion play. If you have any questions about The Studio at CSWS please don’t be shy!
- Plastic Lids from juice or milk containers.
- Beads Beads Beads
- Cardboard Rolls (anything cylindrical and cuttable)
- Recycled One Sided Paper
- Film Canisters
(Children love to collect and love to contribute to school even more. Invite your child to collect the things your family tosses the most. Honestly if you have a lot of it we'll love to have it. We could play for hours with just bread bag tabs and tooth picks!)
